Why Umahi is resigning from his position as a senator

His purported resignation is due to his nomination and likely appointment as a minister in the Federal Republic of Nigeria under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's cabinet, BusinessDay reported.


Umahi who served as the governor of Ebonyi state and represents Ebonyi South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, is a leader in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Lion killed vetenary technologist in Obafemi Awolowo University.

  9-year-old male lion on Monday killed a zookeeper while feeding the wild cats in their den at the Zoological garden of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. The victim, identified as Mr Olabode Olawuyi, who was a Veterinary Technologist, was said to have has been in charge of the Zoological garden for over a decade. The Public Relations Officer of the university, Abiodun Olarewaju, confirmed the incident in a statement on Monday.
